Running C4D R12 application and Net Render Server in the same time

Well, actually this is not a new idea, I just based on last 2 old version where Client Render and Server Render got its own Execute file.

Yesterday there are friends came to my studios and given out a requirement to rent my render farm for 10 hours in execute their company’s job, that was really a very quick job, I got no C4D R12 in hand, well, I am a bit old fashion guy haha.

After a few setup, I realize that C4D r12 got no Client Render or Server Render, it is only an option as the beginning of installation stage. Wah, then I am gonna lose an IP just because to run Server side ? actually C4D r12 cost not much memory included CPU power horse to executes and maintains the Server app. During the installation stage, I saw that C4D R12 Application still is a checked option. Well, maybe.

Motion Graphics

Back to 2003, 2004 in Vietnam, not much people or designer understand what is Motion Graphics, the term now become much more popular present day (2011) as together with the help of Flash technologies, Web design – motion graphics help designers propose their stuffs more easily or to help a project on running for promoting in sale and run banner all over the world wide web – (aka. WEB FLASH BANNER). Still motion graphics within video and logo animation not a very big topic like other design stuffs, designer still not recognize its exist or in a very simple aspect.

To me Motion Graphics does a lot of thing within a limited budget and time also, and there – designer can living their dream, their own kingdom : animation logo, title animation (film/movie/video), tvc, jingle or breaking news, other stuffs in need of clean and quick chop and mostly we can see motion graphics appearing everyday on broadcast (Television Channel).

People normally ask how animation have been done in both 3D and 2D, and how about hybrid like Sinbad the Movie :

Within 3D, a more complex technologies may add up with physic, math and some other tools which need to help promote those visual more abstract as large impact to most audience. And yet, in 2D we need to rendering, with lot of people sitting there and do rendering (lol) but 3D with computer, more money to use but less people consume at the time, one engineer could help the rendering phase more decrease to let entire project meets deadline. Not very complex…

Seagate Enterprise Drives Break Bottlenecks for Animation Studio

When an award–winning Australian animation studio faced an uphill battle to deliver a critical project on time, it called on Seagate’s enterprise hard drives for a big storage assist.

The studio, The People’s Republic of Animation(PRA), provides animation for TV commercials, as well as for hit games for Sony’s PlayStation 3 and PSP, Microsoft’s Xbox 360, and Nintendo’s Wii platform.

But with increasing demand for high–definition and 3D animation, PRA’s technology was stretched to the limits when it embarked on a high–profile project for Sony.

Sony’s wanted PRA to create a 90–second animated trailer for a new video game—a big project for a global client that could cement the Australian studio’s reputation as a leading player. But the studio faced a major problem:its server had slowed dramatically due to the massive production load.

With as many as 30 creative developers accessing the server simultaneously, network speed was sluggish, with a throughput of just 2MBs–per–second.

DreamWorks Animation To Open Shanghai Facility

DreamWorks Animation is working on opening a studio in Shanghai, reports Variety. The facility will produce films for the Chinese market. RSR Partners is engaged in recruitment for top exec posts.

This move would advance the company’s move into the region. The animation firm has found success there with the KUNG FU PANDA franchise. DreamWorks recently signed an agreement with Youku.com to bring the films to online streaming in China.
